Writhlington School - solar panels

[Reposted from BWCE website.] BWCE are delighted to announce the installation of a large-scale 170kW solar system on the roof of Writhlington School in Radstock. The 450 panel system was installed by Aniron and funded by BWCE, so the school paid nothing towards the installation. BWCE own and maintain the panels and are selling the clean energy generated to the school at a cheaper rate than the electricity grid. £31,706 handed to community - thanks to renewable energy generation!

Community Heat Pumps in Parks?

A friend shared a link to this scheme with me: https://www.wearepossible.org/powering-parksWe are lucky enough to have a number large open park spaces, and a lot of properties that may not be suitable for their own heat pumps.Could this be something that BANES could consider to create community energy networks around the parks?
