It’s been a while since we launched the ‘Zero Carbon, Nature Positive network’, and we hope you’ve had a chance to explore and read some of the posts shared in the topic groups. This series of blogs aims to share some tips and tricks on how you can make the most of the network and begin to connect with others using it.
First up is notifications, how do I sign up to them and how do I manage them?
Notifications
To receive notifications when someone posts to the forum of a topic group you will need to “follow” that forum. To find out how to do this follow the steps below or watch a short video:
Go to the topic group page.
Select a topic group, I’m going to use the “Funding” group as an example.
To recieve notifications when someone posts in the forum click on the “Forum” tab across the top of the page.
Scroll to the bottom of the “Forum” page until you find the “Follow” button
When you click this button, it should change colour and now read “Following”
You’ll notice this button on other pages on the network such as the ‘Events’ page and the ‘Blog’. Once you follow an item, you’ll receive an email anytime an update is posted to that section of the network allowing you to keep up to date with forum posts, events and the latest blogs.
To unsubscribe from receiving notifications on these topics, just click the “following” button again.
General Notifications
To control the general notifications you receive from the network you’ll need to visit your profile page.
Click on “Options” and scroll down the drop-down menu to “Edit Profile”.
Your “Edit Profile” page should look like this:
Click on the “Email” tab and this page should appear:
From here you can select which notifications you would like to receive when you receive messages or comments.
