The Centre for Sustianable Energy are running three webinars in June about retrofitting different types of properties. They look like they'll be incredibly useful events and will be the type of discussion that you'd be able to have at an 'open home' event, but without the need to travel!

Thinking of improving your home through solid wall or floor insulation? Or maybe switching to heat pump? What about solar PV, perhaps connected to a domestic battery? Or solar hot water? Or mechanical heat recovery?

There are so many ways that homes are being successfully retrofitted with energy-saving kit, but it's difficult to know what's right for yours.

But help is at hand. In June, CSE is running free webinars aimed at people thinking of taking on a domestic retrofit project but not sure where to start.

CSE's Vic Wakefield-Jarrett said: "There are many factors to consider from what measures to take, to what financial assistance is available. It can feel overwhelming, and these seminars are designed to help people chose what's best for them."

Personal stories

Each 90-minute webinars focusses on a different type of home, so attendees can find the one that suits them best. And they feature two home owners who will share stories of their retrofit, and a video where you can see the kit they installed in the homes themselves.

Experts from our Futureproof programme will be on hand, and there'll be lots of time for questions.
